A new face will be welcoming constituents at Ali Cupper’s Southern Mallee Electorate Hub, based in Birchip.
Sandy Pollington has been employed as a Constituent Service Officer and is now working part time at the 31 Cumming Avenue shopfront.
“Sandy is a Nullawil-based farmer, agronomist and mother of three with a passionate interest in the Southern Mallee,” Ms Cupper said.
“She’ll be a familiar face, greeting stakeholders in and around Birchip, and importantly will bring local perspective into issues that matter to voters in her community.”
Southern Mallee locals will recognise Sandy from her volunteer work, which includes projects with the Wycheproof Community Resource Centre.
Sandy’s appointment means the Southern Mallee Electorate Hub can now be staffed three days a week, Monday to Wednesday, from 9:30am to 2:30pm.
Members of Ali Cupper’s team will continue to make a weekly journey to the Southern Mallee Electorate Hub, to continue engagement in the area.
“This is our primary point of the contact in the Southern Mallee, and now that we’re employing someone in the region, we hope to expand our reach and accessibility even further,” Ms Cupper said.
