Supporting and commemorating our veterans

A RANGE of grants are now open to support and commemorate veterans and preserve our war history.

Member for Mildura Ali Cupper is calling on ex-service organisations, local government authorities, education institutions and not-for-profit organisations from her electorate to apply for the grants.

The three new grant programs now open are:

Anzac Day Proceeds Fund – providing support for veterans through funds for welfare-related activities, with priorities for projects that are responding to COVID-19 impacts.

Victoria Remembers Minor Grant Program – up to $30,000 for projects which honour or commemorate veterans or educate Victorians about veterans’ contributions.

Restoring Community War Memorials and Avenues of Honour – Up to $30,000 for projects that restore community war memorials, honour rolls and avenues of honour.

“We have a long and proud history related to veterans and our own rich war history,” Ms Cupper said.

“These grants are a terrific way for our community to ensure this history is always preserved and honoured and I’d encourage any veterans group or educational institution to apply for one of these grants.”
