Visa shortfall fix part of worker shortage solution

The Victorian Government yesterday confirmed that it will be writing to the Federal Minister for Immigration, Alex Hawke, to request additional state nomination visa places for regional Victoria, and the regions may have Mildura to thank.

Just prior to Christmas, local businessman Baljinder Sandhu brought to Ms Cupper’s attention a significant disparity in the amount of regional skilled visa workers requested by Victoria compared with other states.

Stark difference in COVID-19 response

MILDURA Base Public Hospital’s response to the COVID-19 pandemic has vastly improved since the Base returned to public hands.
