THE ISSUES

Tourism

We know we live in a vibrant, unique part of the world. It’s already a popular tourist destination at certain points of the year.

My task is to help the electorate become a tourist destination year-round. I have long campaigned for a tourism banner to encapsulate what is unique about North West Victoria, and I’ve also been advocating for a Kittyhawk Museum to recognise Mildura’s history as a WWII Aviation Training facility.

Mildura’s had some great tourism wins, with funding for the Mildura Riverfront and Powerhouse Precinct. Sea Lake Visitor Centre, the Murray River Adventure Trail and the Mallee Silo Art Trail. The sky’s the limit.

TL:DR...

  • $5.9 for Mildura Powerhouse Precinct
  • $5.5 million for Mildura Riverfront redevelopment
  • Share of $5.4 million for Mallee Silo Art Trail
  • $300,000 for Sea Lake Visitor Centre
  • $150,000 for WWII Aviation Training and Kittyhawk Museum business case
